Identifying Needs: Students' individual needs are assessed during the application process and through discussions before training begins.
Pre-Training Review: A review before enrollment helps match students with the appropriate training, considering existing skills and offering RPL and Credit Transfer where applicable.
LLN Assessment: All students undergo a Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN) assessment during the pre-training review to identify specific needs.
Physical Needs: Physical requirements are discussed with students to determine suitable strategies or accommodations for course participation.
Tailored Enrolment: Students are enrolled in courses that align with their training needs, LLN levels, and physical requirements.
Reasonable Adjustments: Learning materials and assessments are adapted to meet individual needs, including format changes, contextualization, and ICT support.
Communication: Students are informed promptly about any changes to services, including third-party arrangements or ownership changes.
Complaints and Appeals: The institute has a fair and efficient process for handling complaints and appeals. Refer to the complaints and appeals policy and associated procedures.
Academic Support: A variety of learning support options are provided, including flexible scheduling, alternative learning materials, and ICT and LLN support.
Welfare and Additional Support: Additional support is available for students facing challenges like disabilities, language barriers, or literacy issues, ensuring equitable participation in the training.
